The first tons of ice cream were produced industrially for inhabitants of Kharkiv in June 1933.
The workshop grew into an ice cream factory: the second floor was added. It was equipped with new machines with a capacity of 5 tons per shift. Ice cream was produced as ice cream to be sold by weight and impulse ice-creams.
The Glavkhladoprom factory made and sold over 2,800 tons of ice cream to bring joy to city residents and guests. The only in the country automatic maker of ice cream on a stick was installed.
The Glavkhladoprom factory was reconstructed to increase the production capacity to 12 tons per shift. New equipment, including 2 maker of ice cream on a stick, a compressor shop, continuous freezers, a tunnel oven for baking waffles, was installed.
Ice cream with waffles and fruits layers was produced in Kharkiv since 1937. In the mid-1960s, Kharkiv fruit ice cream was considered to be the best in the country.
The Council of Ministers of the USSR decided to purchase Derby Italian production line for Kharkiv ice cream factory.
Two Derby lines were installed for manufacturing ice cream on a stick. The M6-OLV line was installed for producing ice cream in a waffle cup, and the M6-OLD was intended for making ice cream sandwiches.
Khladoprom, Joint-Stock Company, was founded and registered.
In 2001, our factory was certified for compliance with ISI 9001 standard, since that time the quality management system has been successfully functioning.
The Company acquired the "Kreshatik" and "Kashtan" trademarks and started to implement the strategy for the development of national brands. The Company was certified for compliance with the ISO 22000 food safety standard.
The factory was the first Ukrainian ice cream producer that received the IFS Food certificate.
The company expanded its production and logistic capacities having acquired an ice cream factory in the town of Smila (Cherkasy region).
National brands campaigns were launched to promote the "Kreshatik" and "Kashtan" national brands that became the leaders by growth based on the results of 2019 in Ukraine.
Khladoprom Ice Cream Factory Ltd. was extended equipment was modernized, production of the ice cream mix increase from 5,000 L to 10,000 L per hour on the Tetra Pak equipment (Sweden).

Today, according to version 6.1, this check for compliance with 400 criteria is a difficult test even for leading European companies,” Oleksiy Baryshevskyy proudly tells about the achievements.
